DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
What part of the Scripture most impacted you, and why?
Throughout Scripture, God compares us to sheep. What does this image suggest about our nature and our need for a shepherd?
Read Ezekiel 34:15-16 again. What kinds of people do you think God is describing with the five kinds of sheep mentioned (the “lost,” “strayed,” “injured,” “weak,” & “fat and strong”)? With which of these types of sheep do you most identify?
As you reflect on your current season of life, in what ways do you sense God is currently seeking to “shepherd” you?
Are there any ways that you are resisting the shepherding work that God is trying to do in your life?
God says He will feed His sheep. How might God’s Word be food to you right now? Or, is there anything other than God’s Word that you're looking to for nourishment?
Read Psalm 23. What do you think it means that “goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life?” How have you experienced that personally, even in unexpected ways?
